Ancillary Parts

The constituent parts of the roller conveyor are designed according to the tasks which have to be completed. The normal components are shown below:

Side Bars

The side bars have to be ordered for all unpowered roller conveyors. Different side bars and screens are available for different purposes and implementation.

The side bars are made from hollow profile materials and fastened securely with bolts onto the roller conveyor.

If required vertical start rollers can be supplied to increase the movement height. The belt protection serves as a side bar for powered roller conveyors.

„Roll Off“ Prevention

When transporting globular materials it will be necessary to add „roll off“ prevention aids. The options range from stationery gates through to adjustable start rollers. It should be stressed that the use of „roll off“ protection is mandatory to comply with health and safety regulations and to fulfil the requirements of CE certification.

Positioning and Displacement Units

If the material being processed has been placed in position by a crane or fork lift truck, it is often necessary to adjust the positioning of the material as the resistance of the pre-stressed sides is insufficient in longer profile materials and/or results in deformations.

Ejection bars push the material onto connecting transport units.

These units have optional pneumatic or hydraulic (heavier profile materials) mechanisms.

Measuring Systems

The roller conveyors can be equipped with different types of measuring systems. In a similar way to the roller conveyor drives, the available systems range from the simplest rulers and digital hand-wheel activated systems to fully automatic positioning start units.
