Ingenieurbetrieb Henke was established as a single enterprise on 01.06.1990. The founder had previously been employed as a rationalisation engineer at the Steel Works Niesky and was promoted in 1974 to head the Rationalisation Department with special responsibilities in main technologies.

During his employment he gained all-encompassing, extensive experience in steel processing and handling. He designed and constructed his first roller conveyors and transverse transportation equipment during this phase of his professional career, which formed the basis for today’s enterprise.

Establishing the company in 1990 was a logical consequence and continuation of his career and allowed him to design and produce patented solutions in his own right and name.
