Welding Facilities for Sheet Metal Supports
Steel fabrication enterprises can purchase sheet metal supports up to 1000 mm in height only as rolled metal supports on a trade basis. Larger supports and even bespoke supports have to be assembled using individual sheets and then welded together. Two assembly and welding facilities have been erected to optimise both quality and effectiveness, also to facilitate fabrication of double-T-supports up to 2000mm in height and 20m in length.
The supports may be manufactured in conical form with an option of non-continuous welding. Two MAG or UP burners are used for welding the pre-stressed metal, thus eliminating waiting time and welding movement. Continuous welding facilities have been fabricated with similar quality features to satisfy the requirements for single T-supports required in the shipbuilding sector (ribs). Our clients have reported productivity increases of more than 50%.
